The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) invites you to have your say on the issues and policy options in the consultation paper on the review of the information standard on care labelling for clothing and textile products. The issues in this paper have been briefly summarised below, please refer to the document for further details.

Why your views matter
The ACCC is reviewing the information standard on care labelling for clothing and textile products.
The purpose of this review is to assess the ongoing efficacy of the information standard in providing consumers and industry professionals with appropriate information and care procedures for clothing and textiles.
Policy options
The ACCC is considering three policy options:
Option 1 - Keep the current information standard (status quo)
Option 2 - Allow international standards
Option 3 - Revoke the information standard.
Your submissions to this consultation will help recommend the most appropriate option to the Minister.
