Overview

Know the risks and protect yourself

Scams and cybercrime such as identity theft impose significant financial, legal and reputational costs on thousands of small businesses each year.

You are invited to attend a free forum hosted by the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission and the Institute of Public Accountants.

Hear from three subject-matter experts about the risks small businesses face and the steps they can take to protect themselves:

  • Dr Louis Geneste, Lecturer, Curtin Business School, Curtin University: What do you need to know about scams and the management practices and characteristics that leave your business vulnerable?
  • Boaz Fischer, Executive Director, CommsNet Group Pty Ltd: How do you protect your business from cyber threats in 10 minutes a day?
  • Christine Linden, ANZ Head of Small Business Victoria & Tasmania: small business cybercrime and identity theft: overview, real life case studies and helpful hints.

The presentations will be followed by a Q&A panel discussion and refreshments.

Spaces are limited so please register to book your seat.
